BASIC CHEMICAL PROCESSES
CDR Pumps for Basic Chemical Processes
Applications:
I basic chemical processes require the use of several specially designed centrifugal pumps to ensure efficiency and safety. The main pumps used in these processes are the models UCL, UTN-BL, UTS, XTS, ETN EVO e ETS.
The UCL is a Mechanical seal centrifugal pump, available with PFA, PVDF, or Polypropylene linings. It is particularly suitable for pumping corrosive and hazardous liquids thanks to the protective lining that covers all parts in contact with the process fluid, with a minimum thickness of 4-5 mm. The UCL offers the possibility of mounting single or double mechanical seals and is characterized by a modular design, with a stainless steel shaft lined with PFA using the transfer molding process.
For continuous (24/7) operations, UTN-BL magnetically driven centrifugal pumps in polypropylene are highly recommended. If a wide range of chemical compatibility and increased temperature resistance is required, the UTN-BL with PVDF or PFA linings is the ideal choice.
The ETN EVO is particularly suitable for non-continuous operations, such as loading and unloading tanks. Thanks to its coating and competitive price, it is an advantageous solution. Furthermore, it can be equipped with diamond silicon carbide bushings to prevent damage from dry running, a common problem in loading and unloading operations.
The UTS centrifugal pump is designed for continuous operation (24/7) and is ideal for processing organic solvents and for temperature control applications up to 300 degrees Celsius. The ETS, a AISI steel magnetic drive pump, is suitable for intermittent operations, offering excellent value for money for flow rates up to 25 m³/h. Finally, the XTS is a metal magnetic drive pump, specifically designed to handle fluids containing suspended solids, which are typical in basic chemical processes.
