Thermoregulation
CDR pumps for the thermoregulation sector
Applications:
The processes of industrial Temperature Control are necessary for controlling the temperatures involved in all applications of a manufacturing process, achieved through heat transfer. In every sector—from food to industrial-pharmaceutical, from metallurgy to the mechanical industry, from the production and processing of plastics and rubber to the manufacture of paints, as well as in power generation and cryogenic processes—it is essential to ensure the correct temperatures. In fact, this aspect is a key production factor on par with the equipment, energy, and raw materials used.
Depending on the required holding temperature for various production cycles, the thermoregulation control units can be designed to operate with different types of fluid:
- Antifreeze solutions, with a temperature range from -30°C to +90°C
- Water, with a temperature range from +5°C to +90°C
- Diathermic oil, with a temperature range from +30°C to +180°C
- Silicone and synthetic oils, for applications in a temperature range of -100°C to +260°C
- High-temperature heat transfer oil, with a temperature range from +30°C to +350°C
The pumps intended for this area are the UTS e XTS. The UTS is a single-stage centrifugal pump High efficiency, close-coupled and bare shaft execution. UTS pumps are made of AISI 316 stainless steel and equipped with an oil bath bearing support designed for continuous 24/7 operation. The mounted magnets can be Neodymium Iron Boron or Samarium Cobalt, depending on the temperature of the liquid being pumped. The Hastelloy-C 276 can guarantees excellent corrosion resistance and minimal thermal dispersion due to eddy current accumulation. The mounting feet are made of integral casting to ensure maximum resistance to connection loads and optimal pump-motor alignment. The UTS is the bare shaft version with baseplate installation, coupling, and coupling guard with B3 form motor coupling. The UTS handles fluids with a wide temperature range, from -100°C to +300°C.
With a special execution for low temperatures, the UTS guarantees the handling of fluids down to -100°C, thanks to a lantern and external magnetic core in AISI 304. This execution is particularly suitable and successfully used in cryogenic processes. The UTS-B is the monobloc version for coupling with B5 motors and can handle liquids within a temperature range of -100°C to +250°C.
The XTS magnetic drive pump It is suitable for handling contaminated heat transfer oils (COKE) resulting from cracking. At temperatures above 220°C, the oil tends to become contaminated, but when using the XTS, filters are not required. The XTS is unaffected by suspended solids or high temperatures.
